Anthony Day is an artist living and working in Melbourne, Australia.
Growing up in Melbourne and spending time throughout his life in Northern Victoria, Anthony is influenced by the vast open space of this environment.
He works with mediums including oils, acrylics, resins and polymers, creating a variety of works in both painting and 3-dimensional form. Anthony has a defining style which explores atmosphere and space.
Anthony has exhibited in commercial galleries in Melbourne and Sydney. His work has been collected by several private developers and private collectors around Australia.
In recent years he has undertaken commission and project based work.
“I approach my work in a visually challenging manner which involves different use of materials, surface, texture and light. My pieces will often differ from the original intention, as the surfaces evolve throughout the process. I want my work to expose the path the painting has taken.”
